Hi there kids, summer is almost over and I know you’re all now preparing for the opening of classes and probably thinking about meeting new classmates and friends or meeting again your goodolfriends, exchanging summer stories. But you still have a few weeks more to lazy around and if you’re wondering how to make the most of it? Here’s one nice idea you can make and hang in your window before you officially go back to school.

I saw this at a refreshment parlor and I thought it’s kinda cute, OK, we’ll call this kikay dreamcatcher, you don’t need a lot of industrial vices to make this one. In fact, some of the materials needed here can be found in your drawers, or the stuff you pre loved and have dumped them in your stock box can be used as hangings – laces, ribbons, buttons, etc.

You don’t need to follow this exactly you can make your own combos depending on what feel pretty and nice. So in the future when asked for a DIY project why not think about doing your own kikay dreamcatcher.

Science have proved it that music has enormous impact in your child’s well-being, in my case they do not only make noise, er unique music as what they call it while you’re there beating your writing deadline, music also allow your kids to engage into rhythm and beat that help them coordinate and synchronize their bodies and brain, in other words their motor skills can be further developed.

This will also give your kids a chance to demonstrate self-expression and when they’re there can surprise you with Live Sound that’ll leave you speechless. This will also develop their self-confidence other than speaking and dancing in public through public live performances. Never mind about pricey recital contribution, you’ll forget what you’ve paid after you see your son|daughter conquering the stage.

Another is focus, which I’m so after at, but don’t expect this to emerge right then and there, this will take some time, consistency and regular practice are real indicators that you’re rooting on something.

Music also helps kids think creatively and critically. Though they say technology these days play so much in downgrading these skills, I’d like to take on the idea that technology instead will enhance these skills even further.

What about you? What musical instrument you had your kids engaged into?

And we’re back from our 10-day trip to Siquijor, Dumaguete and Cebu, I was hoping we could extend it a little more but reality says, it’s over – so now I’m back on the dashboard. It wasn’t really a trip planned for me, though I know I need one, it was more like a trip with itineraries designed for kids.

The sun tripping in Siquijor was incredibly fun but it was equally exhausting especially for adults who can’t stand the sun for long, but for the kids – pleasure is understatement. We did a short side trip to Dumaguete as my husband had to check on some pro matters at Siliman University, I’ve been to this university when I was still in high school and it feels great to see a lot of modern improvements around.

The last three days of our trip was spent in Cebu. Cebu is so dang hot on day time, if not for the kids I could have just stayed in the mall and or in my hotel room. But since we’re traveling with school graders, we did an Aralin Panlipunan lesson on-site – Magellan’s Cross, Fort San Pedro, Mactan Shrine etc., etc.

Finally, it’s time to go back home … and here, having photo opp of their in-flight souvenir they named, Fluffy.

Smoking is one of the human customs as old as the world, each culture has its unique story to tell about how cigar humidor play part in their everydayness, and while we’re always reminded that it poses risk to our health, many still can’t just leave an old habit just like that. But if you smoke, I strongly recommend you get all the information you can get to know about the health implications of smoking. You can learn a lot from the Philippine Cancer Society, the Philippines Heart Association, and the Philippine Lung Association, well, these are just strong recommendations as we all know the laid up effects of prolong smoking.

But if you couldn’t ignore the warnings all around you like on television, on radio, in newspapers and magazines, then be ready to face the cost of it or you’ll never enjoy this kind of beauty ……

It’s been a year since I bought a guitar, but my eight grader man here didn’t really show interest in learning no matter how I tried convincing, I didn’t prod him much though because I don’t want my money to go down the drain, you know when you coerce kids into something they don’t want to do you’ll end up regretting and you’ll both be hurting. But one day, he finally came and said; ‘mom, I want to do my guitar lessons now,’ and for the nth time, I’ve proven it once more that timing is everything, that sent me a signal to arrange his schedule for the lesson.

Glad I know someone who owns a music learning school here in Davao, so he’s enrolled to a 14-session acoustic guitar lesson for P4,800. His teacher is sort of easygoing, well, I expect him to be as he’s with a raw beginner. Nothing much of additional gadget to buy except for a direct box at guitar center, a metronome and a tuner.

If you’re around Matina area here in Davao and looking for a music school, you can visit Scherzo Music Learning along Juna Avenue, they offer lessons on practically all music instruments, voice lessons and basic conducting. You can call this number for inquiry, 092-056-65527.

… ‘because they listen and don’t talk back’. If you ask my son that question I’m sure he’d blurt out that answer. This bear’s name is Ted, well, obviously short for TeddyBear. This is the second big bear this young boy had, the first big one he dropped at a donation box at the height of the collection of goods for the victims of typhoon Pablo. I promised to replace it but someone generous came and handed a bigger one for him. I said, because you shared the most important thing to you that’s why you’re blessed and look, a bear a lot bigger and a lot softer than the ones you gave.

Soft toys are good for kids it give them this reassurance and some levels of comfort feeling when they’re alone, besides being a mute confidant and a soft punching bag they’re the safest, moms even love to hug them too.

Not a dull moment when these two are together – it can only be that they’re giggling like crazy or they’re fighting as if they weren’t fed in years, lol.

Their eldest sibling is already in first year high school, in fact, he’s not comfortable going out with these kiddos anymore, he preferred to stay at home and do his stuff of whatever sort, unless if it’s eating out. He gets annoyed easily by these two. He felt awkward too because he’s taller than his age and often would say, ‘he looked like a giraffe walking behind these kids’, though at home they’re in together watching ‘Fairy Tale’ or do whatever games they have, like chasing chickens and all that stuff in the computer.

Per observation there’s really this distance between these two kids and their oldest sibling, I’d say it’s because of the age gap, the ‘kuya’ is now into an awkward stage of adolescence while these two are still babies. Though it’s a consolation for a mom to see them grow up healthy and strong, sometimes I’d say I could have just given birth to all of them all at the same time .. ‘para di sabog’… triplets.. lol.

I mean seriously, that’s one disadvantage I see in spacing birth too long – like 5 years in my case. Whenever someone would ask me what’s the best figure to take when spacing birth.. I always say, do it the typical DO, RE, MI and then stop for real. Beginnings are always difficult, but when you get the handle of it, you’ll likely get used to handling your scheds.

Well, as always I don’t impose, do-this-and-do-that stuff about parenting in my blog, because as mom who is propelled by a multi-culturalist philosophy – I’d always say, my situation may be different from yours therefore, we take situations differently.

Information technology has changed the aspects of business radically around the globe. Entrepreneurs utilize the Internet and social networking sites to market their products and services as well as to interact with their clients. The worldwide web allows business owners to have more customers and to eliminate their expenses like travel and operating costs. They can also make their profits bigger since they can operate 24/7.

Starting an e-store is not as easy as a pie; it entails hard work and patience. There are various things that you have to take into account if you want to invest in this kind of business. First, you have to create a business plan. It will help you follow your progress and run your business efficiently. Next, is to have a good and catchy domain name. Your clients will not have trouble finding you on the web if they can remember it easily.

You can check available domain names online to make sure that the one you have chosen has not been registered under another owner. You should also select a user-friendly website and the right web host. It is also essential to have a good marketing strategy to attract more customers to your website.

Embarking in an online business can be a daunting undertaking but if you will put your heart into it, you will eventually enjoy the fruit of your labor.
